Sugar Ray at Disney EPCOT Food and Wine Festival October 2011

Definitely enjoyed Sugar Ray concert at Disney EPCOT Food and Wine festival in October 2011. One of the best performances this year so far. Looking forward to Sister Hazel, Night Ranger, Air Supply and Big Bad Voo Doo Daddy. 

When you visit Disney during October be sure to save some time for the concerts, but check Disney Concert Eat to the Beat listings before you go to the park so you can plan to be there for your favorite group.

 

Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights 21 October 2011

Went to the Universal Halloween Horror nights in Orlando to see what was the rage. I was a little disappointed, but it was still fun. I was expecting to see more "scare zones" and characters wondering through the streets spreading fear. We visited three haunts, but nothing was a surprise. Basically all three were the same where you walked into a semi-dark room and people jumped out at you. Nothing scary about that as compared to driving on I4 headed West on a Friday at 5 PM.

If you want to go to the park for the show, then I would try to get the best price available on the tickets because it is not worth paying full price. Our tickets were included with out annual pass; otherwise we probably would not have gone to the park.

Disney HollyWood Tower of Terror

Hotel with the best "Service Elevator".

I have now done the Tower of Terror over 1,000 times and I never get tired of it. With the new program you can never tell what is going to happen on the drop. Now the ride can take you to the bottom of the tower like the ride is over and you even get to see the screen, but then suddenly you are shot back to the top for yet another exhilarating fall. Try doing the ride at night to add that extra level of fear. If you do not want to wait in the long lines, then get to the park as soon as it opens and you should be able to get at least 6 rides in before the wait times increase. Another good time to avoid the long lines is when the Fantasmic show starts. Also as you enter the hotel and go through the rooms see if you can discern a difference in the voice of Serling.

Starship with Mickey Thomas as Disney EPCOT

Went to EPCOT October 14, 2011 to see Mickey Thomas and Starship and heard tunes like: Sara; Built this City; Jane and Its not over. While the music was good the real attraction was the number of people. I have not seen EPCOT so crowded. The walk around the countries was more like a crawl, but the food smelled good.

Billy Ocean at Disney EPCOT Eat to the Beat

Billy Ocean did not disappoint at the Disney Eat to the Beat concert at EPCOT. With all of the right moves and that silky voice he captivated the crowd. Saw the second and third sets, but Billy did not repeat the same routine. He changed it up so you got to get more good music by hanging around for the third set.

You never know who will show up at the EPCOT Food and Wine festival like last year when Rick Springfield performed. Absolutely a chick magnet so the concert was great, but the music was good to. Sharing the few photos that actually were not blurred.
