Christmas at Disney 2010

Hollywood Studios
With the holidays approaching I thought that I would share some notes and pictures from 2010. If you are planning to be in Florida during the holidays, then you might want to spend a couple of days at Disney. You do not necessarily have to go to the parks to have a Christmas experience at Disney because you can visit the resorts since many put on various holiday exhibitions. Check out the ginger bread house at the Grand Floridian or go by the Polynesian and look at the Christmas houses.

If you do want to go to a park, then I would suggest going to Hollywood Studios at night to see the Osbourne family lights. Get to the park a little early and go to the New York city streets area before it gets dark so when it does get dark you will be able to see the transformation.

If you just want to see Christmas trees and do not mind doing a little traveling, then move between each resort and check out the decorations at each resort. My wife and I enjoyed the Animal Kingdom Lodge, the Grand Floridian, the Contemporary, and the Polynesian. You can also go to each park to see the trees and you do not have to go into the park.

  1. How do you get to the resorts from the park? Can you take the monorail to get there?

  2. Hong, You can take the monorail to go to the Grand Floridian, Contemporary and Polynesian, and then grab a bus to go to the other resorts. You could also park at Downtown Disney or the Transportation Station at Magic Kingdom and take the buses from there to the different resorts. Make a day of it and having fun traveling around the parks and resorts.
